The Future
of Music Coalition is a not-for-profit collaboration
between members of the music, technology, public policy and intellectual
property law communities. The FMC seeks to educate the media,
policymakers, and the public about music / technology issues,
while also bringing together diverse voices in an effort to come
up with creative solutions to some of the challenges in this
space. The FMC also aims to identify and promote innovative business
models that will help musicians and citizens to benefit from
new technologies.
The ARTIST
EMPOWERMENT COALITION ("AEC") is a not-for-profit
coalition which was formed to (I.) utilize the gift and creation
of music, art and culture to make the world a better place and
(II.) promote changes and reform in the relationships between artists
and the companies that exploit, market and distribute their creative
work. The AEC is an advocate for the arts, organizing common efforts
to increase funding and involve industry, community, educational
and cultural institutions and policymakers in the quest for an
improved entertainment model and creative offering. The
Creative Coalition is a non-profit, non-partisan organization
comprised of members of the arts and entertainment community
dedicated to educating and advocating on behalf of social and
political issues, specifically in the areas of the First Amendment,
arts advocacy and public education.

Year of the Blues: Celebrating 100 years of
the Blues, presented ny the Experience Music Project, in association
with the Blues Foundation, is a
multifaceted program celebrating and creating greater awareness
of the blues and its evolving place in muic and cultural history.
The

Blues History, Celebrating Blues Excellence, and Supporting Blues
Education.

The Alabama
Blues Project is an organization dedicated
to the preservation of blues music as a traditional American art
form. Live performances of the blues coupled with projects which
educate the younger generation is the way we work towards this
goal.
The
Leland Blues Project: The Leland Blues Project's
mission is to honor the mid-delta blues musicians and educate the
public as to their contributions to music, also presents the Annual
Highway 61 Blues Festival every June and recently opened The Highway
61 Blues Museum at 400 N. Broad Street in Leland, MS
